Whatsy is a local-first autonomous messaging assistant for macOS. It monitors your WhatsApp and sends replies in your personal tone whenever you’re unavailable — powered by Ollama running entirely on your machine. No cloud AI, no third-party message processing, no data leaving your device.

Introduction

Learn what Whatsy does, how it works, and who it’s built for.

Quick Start

Download Whatsy, link your WhatsApp, and get your first auto-reply working.

Personas

Build a persona that captures your tone, style, and example replies.

Behavior Rules

Control exactly which messages Whatsy replies to — and how.

How it works

1

Download the macOS app

Get the Whatsy app for macOS and open it on your Mac.
2

Link your WhatsApp

Scan a QR code inside the app. Whatsy connects to your existing WhatsApp account — no new number needed.
3

Set up your persona

Describe your tone and add a few example replies. Whatsy uses this to match how you actually write.
4

Turn on auto-replies

Enable auto-replies when you’re ready. Whatsy handles incoming messages while you’re away.
All message content, persona data, and your WhatsApp session are stored exclusively on your Mac. Whatsy does not send any of this to external servers.
