The Whatsy dashboard is your command center for the running agent. It gives you a real-time view of what your agent has done, who it has replied to, and what it said — so you always know exactly what is being sent on your behalf. The dashboard is split into three areas: the main overview panel, the live activity feed, and the logs view accessible from the sidebar.

Activity feed

The Live Feed panel sits on the right side of the dashboard when the window is wide enough (1200px or wider). It refreshes automatically every five seconds while the app is open. Each entry in the feed shows:
  • Contact name — who sent the original message
  • Summary — a short description of what the agent did (e.g. “Replied to Alex”, “Skipped — quiet hours rule”)
  • Incoming message — a preview of what the contact sent
  • Action badgeREPLIED, SKIPPED, SPAM, or ERROR
  • Relative timestamp — how long ago the event occurred (e.g. “3m ago”)
Click the Refresh button (↻) at the top of the feed to force an immediate update.

Conversation detail

Click View Details on any feed entry to open the conversation detail view. This shows the full context of that interaction — the contact’s message, the reply Whatsy generated, and the timestamp. Use this to quickly spot-check whether the agent’s reply was appropriate before moving on.

Main overview panel

The center panel shows your agent’s current state at a glance:
  • Current Status — a large headline showing whether the agent is active and replying, or paused
  • Active persona — the name of the persona currently handling replies
  • Connection status badge — shows whether WhatsApp is connected, including your linked phone number when available
  • Running / Paused toggle — flip this to immediately start or stop auto-replies without opening Settings
The panel’s background color changes to indicate state: yellow when the agent is actively replying, muted grey when paused.

Logs

The Logs view provides a full, searchable history of all agent actions. Access it by clicking Logs in the left sidebar. Each log entry shows:
  • Date and time
  • Contact name and phone number
  • A summary of the event
  • The incoming message text
  • The reply that was sent (if any)
  • An action badge (REPLIED, SKIPPED, SPAM, ERROR)
The logs view loads up to 200 of the most recent entries. All log data is stored locally on your Mac.

Exporting logs

You can export your activity logs at any time from the Logs view header:
  1. Click Export CSV to export a comma-separated file, or Export Markdown to export a formatted Markdown file.
  2. A save dialog appears — choose a filename and destination.
  3. The file is saved to the location you select (your Downloads folder is the default).
The exported file contains the same fields visible in the logs view: timestamp, contact, action, incoming message, and reply text. When Whatsy is running, a small icon appears in your macOS menu bar. Click it to:
  • See the agent’s current connection and reply status at a glance
  • Pause or resume auto-replies without bringing the full app to the foreground
  • Open the main dashboard window
The menu bar icon is the fastest way to check on or pause your agent when you’re in the middle of other work.
The dashboard only shows activity that occurred while the Whatsy agent was running. It does not retroactively read or display your existing WhatsApp message history. Events begin appearing in the feed the moment you start the agent and enable auto-replies.
During the first few days of using Whatsy, check the dashboard once a day to review a sample of what the agent sent. If any reply doesn’t sound quite right, open the persona editor and refine your tone instructions or add more example pairs to correct the pattern.
